Most luxury homebuilding focuses on what you can see: the countertops, the cabinetry, the architectural lines. We care just as much about what you can’t see. A Houston home has to stand up to hurricanes, flooding, heavy rain, heat and year-round humidity, and that comes down to how it’s built.
Led by a mechanical engineer, our firm brings a level of engineering rigor that’s rare in residential construction. We build from the inside out, so the home is as durable as it is beautiful.

The Select Build Standard
1. Moisture Mitigation Moisture is the biggest threat to a home on the Gulf Coast. We use vapor management, dehumidification and quality waterproofing systems (such as Schluter) in all wet areas, and we detail the building envelope to keep water out from the start.
2. Envelope Integrity & Air Sealing A durable home starts with a carefully sealed envelope. Advanced framing and air-sealing practices keep hot, humid outside air where it belongs, which means better efficiency, steadier temperatures and a quieter home.
3. HVAC & Mechanical-System Design In Houston, the mechanical systems do the heavy lifting. We size and design HVAC and ventilation for the house and the climate, not by rule of thumb, so the home stays dry and comfortable through the summer.
4. Storm & Flood Resilience We plan elevation and drainage around the lot and its flood zone, and we pay close attention to roofing, windows and flashing so the home is ready for high winds and heavy rain.
5. Indoor Air Quality & Materials For clients who want it, we offer enhanced HVAC filtration, whole-home air purification (such as AprilAire) and low-VOC paints, adhesives and materials.
Behind the Drywall
The most important phase of construction is the part that gets covered up. Because we keep a small project roster, we can be hands-on at every job site, making sure framing, plumbing, electrical and waterproofing are done right and inspected before a wall is closed.
